This term, En Pointe School of Dance is celebrating an incredible milestone with 579 student attendances every week across our classes here in York.

From our tiniest ballet beginners to our advanced senior dancers, our studios are filled with energy, creativity and smiles. This wonderful number reflects something truly special, a community of families who believe in the power of dance to build confidence, joy and friendship in their children’s lives.

Growing Together

What makes this number so exciting is not just the scale, but what it represents. Week after week our dancers choose to return to learn, to move, to challenge themselves and to be part of something inspiring.

With over 80 classes each week, En Pointe now welcomes students of all ages and abilities. We offer everything from Classical Ballet and Modern to Tap and Musical Theatre. Every class is taught by experienced and passionate teachers who bring both professional expertise and genuine care to each child’s journey.

A Parent’s Story

We recently received a message from a parent that truly touched our hearts and reminded us why we do what we do.

“My daughter had been dancing with another ballet school in York but had lost her love for it. She would often cry before lessons and wanted to give up completely. I gently suggested she try one more school, just to see how she felt, and we signed up for a trial class at En Pointe. From that moment she was hooked.
Mr Edgar really sparked something in her, and she begged to keep going. Over time she added more classes with the wonderful En Pointe teachers and is now completely obsessed with dance, taking several classes a week.
I just wanted to say a big thank you to Mr Edgar for changing her mind about dance and inspiring her to continue, and to En Pointe for not being just a dance school but a place that truly changes and inspires the lives of young people.”
