Every year dance students take part in our themed theatre shows…

En Pointe Dance School gives everyone from the age of 5+ to adults the opportunity to perform in front of a live audience at Jospeh Rowntree Theatre in a professional theatre setting each year. All Choreography is rehearsed in classes.

Our annual performances are the highlight of the year fro our students and have something for everyone to enjoy, and pupils love to demonstrate all they have attained, and build their confidence, theatre and performance skills.

Summer Schools

During the Summer holidays we like to host a 3 to 5 day workshop for students to be able to get really creative with their dancing. In 2018 we took on the popular 'The Greatest Showman' as a theme and created some jaw dropping performances to friends and family. Included in the Summer School was our very own fire-breathing demonstration for the dancers which couldn't have been more epic.

Choreography is taught by our highly experienced teachers who have all the appropriate safety training necessary. Summer Schools are a fun way to keep up your dance practice, learning new dances, having lots of fun and making new friends. We welcome students to give it ago. Each group will learn dances to perform in two mini shows to friends and family with costumes hire, hair and make up included.

Easter School

During the Easter break here at En Pointe we like to make the very most of it.

We host an amazing dance packed 3 to 5 day workshop filled with exciting dances to perform to parents, friends and family at our very own dance studios. During the Easter workshop we create choreography together and wear themed costume and make up to perform at the end. In 2018 we took the theme 'Harry Potter' and invited our local bird of prey experts to bring their owls along for the students — It was so magical.
