The one thing York parents are booking onto ahead of summer 2026
As we get closer to our annual show at the end of May, excitement is building across En Pointe. Costumes are arriving, routines are coming together beautifully, and dancers are counting down the days until they step onto the stage.
For many families, this time of year is incredibly special. There is something magical about watching children work towards a performance goal, growing in confidence each week, and feeling proud of what they can achieve through dedication and creativity.
But once the excitement of the show weekend is over, many parents begin wondering how to keep that momentum going through the long summer holidays.
As mums, we all know summer can feel like a balancing act. Finding activities that keep children active, social, inspired, and away from endless screen time is not always easy. Children thrive when they have something exciting to look forward to, especially during the holidays when routines change so dramatically.
That is exactly why summer activities can make such a difference.
At En Pointe, we see first hand how much children continue to grow when they stay connected to movement, creativity, and friendships outside of term time. Summer camps often bring out a completely different side of children. Quiet dancers become more confident. Friendships strengthen. New students settle in quickly and discover passions they did not even realise they had.
This year, our themed Summer Camps have been designed to feel immersive, exciting, and full of imagination. Inspired by the things children are already talking about and loving right now, each camp combines dance, performance, games, creativity, and themed activities into an unforgettable experience.
🖤 K Pop Demon Hunters
A high energy camp inspired by the global world of K Pop, packed with powerful choreography, music, performance, and confidence building fun.
📺 Stranger Things
A cinematic themed experience full of mystery, creativity, movement, performance, and exciting activities inspired by the world of Hawkins.
Our camps are about much more than simply filling time during the holidays. They give children the opportunity to stay active, expressive, and connected during the summer months. In a world increasingly dominated by screens and devices, giving children space to move, create, socialise, and build confidence in person feels more important than ever.
Parents often tell us their children leave our camps happier, more confident, and full of stories about the friendships and memories they made.
For many children, summer camps become one of the highlights of the entire year.
Whether your child already dances with us or is simply looking for something exciting to try this summer, we would love to welcome them to En Pointe.
Spaces are limited and our themed camps are expected to fill quickly.
Give them a summer filled with creativity, confidence, friendship, and something genuinely exciting to look forward to.
